Heralding the Next Generation Yeshiva

For over 14 years Orchos Chaim's distinctive programs and special attention we pay each student (ba'al-teshuva or not) has given them an opportunity to fully integrate while in yeshiva thereby preparing them for absorption into the community. Our job however does not end there; the roshei yeshiva and rabbeim at Orchos Chaim dedicate significant time and resources to our alumni's needs many years beyond the completion of their studies.

Our one-of-a-kind Binyan Olam Fellowship program is something of which we are particularly proud. Designed for recently married couples who want to build a spiritual foundation that will carry them through life, the Fellowship offers an opportunity to spend a year of learning and growing in Israel. The program combines the traditional intensive yeshiva learning with classes for both husbands and wives in the theory, hashkafa, and practice of building a bayit neeman b'Yisrael - a home that will start out, and continue on a path of positive growth.

BNP: Special Post Army Program

The volunteer soldiers of the I.D.F have always been an example to others...the first to give, the first to volunteer for any mission as dangerous as it may be!

Background
When these soldiers finish their army service and re-enter into civilian life, they face major obstacles. Ordinary Israeli soldiers who have warm and caring family support and, special army division V.A. Offices that directs and helps them find their way back to civilian life. However, the volunteers receive virtually no assistance.

The Need
Many mental, language and cultural differences stand in the way of these volunteers. They are not eligible for univesrity grants or vocational assistance. There is no one to help them through their first steps into regular life. They are often left on their own with no one to ensure that they have a place to sleep or food to eat.

The Program
Orchos Chaim has made it our goal to adopt and help these boys. We provide them with an open Beis Midrash, a warm home, hot food and a way to ease their re-entry into the mainstream Jewish community in Israel.

The Program Will Help Them With:
A warm welcoming: a home where they will not need to worry about where their next meal will come from or where they'll be sleeping at night.
An Open learning environment: they can learn and grow each in their own way.
Decision-making: finding them appropriate educational or vocational programs.
Assistance in job placement:
Aliyah Benefits:
helping them get their full benefits from their aliyah process.
